Getting Started - Thank you!

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out after seeing our story on 10/11 NOW by Kamri Sylve.  I also want to give a big thank you to Kamri for doing such an excellent job on the story. It’s hard work to put someone’s passion, years of work, and all the experiences into a minute and thirty seconds, but she did it and did it well!  A big thank you also goes to my beautiful daughter who had a random feeling one day to ask a Facebook group she belongs to about marketing ideas for Three Acres. That is how Kamri found us which ultimately led many of you to our website and we hope the word continues to spread!  We are so happy that more of the community knows that this service is available!

There are so many others that I could name that have been a huge support in the creation and foundation of Three Acres, but I will save that for another blog.  We will also highlight each staff over time so you can get to know us all a bit better!

On another note; new beginnings come with some opportunities for learning, as we know!  The "’Hay’ Keri" was having some issues and I was not getting notified when questions were getting asked. I believe this has been corrected, so I will hopefully be able to get those more quickly!  In the future, I will also be doing some short Facebook Live events to answer questions, as well as addressing questions on YouTube. This will all be anonymous of course. Wow! So much energy! Lots happening and lots of things in motion! So very excited! Breathe, ground, and forward we go.

"’Hay’ Keri" Responses June1-June,10, 2021

I have been receiving lots of great questions about how the business and sessions work in addition to some deeper questions as to how this modality might work for certain types of mental health illnesses or struggles in general such as grief, and life changes. I will say the beauty of this model is that it works entirely with you, there is no other person involved to have an agenda. Yes, we do set goals and yes you will meet those goals. If there are symptoms you wish to address, reduce, or eliminate from your life those will also be addressed, but with this process it is entirely your process. The horses and your other team members (animal or human) are just here to help provide an external source to let out whatever it is you’re thinking or feeling. In a sense we are all characters of your story and are simply there to hold a safe space for you to share it. There have been many times my horse's behavior has shifted so much in a session that I have thought "wow, I never even thought of it that way!" and it turned out to be exactly what I needed to see, to move beyond what I was struggling with. There have also been times where I thought nothing has happened, only to realize later that nothing was supposed to happen because either I (as a client) or my client, was not ready for things to shift so quickly. There is power in the pause. However, there is also a difference between pause and being stuck by fear. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to trust the flow and process of life. A lot of us want to rush right in and get it  "all figured out."  When in fact, the only way we can do anything is to go through it. There is no quick fix like jumping from A to Z because we never know when we might need to go back and get what we learned from D (yes, I have a habit of speaking in metaphors!). Despite my speaking in metaphors, I hope this makes some sense to you all.  We at Three Acres are truly grateful to be a part of your process, your journey, life, adventure, however you would like to see it. Either way, it is an honor for us to be here!

We have some fun events in the making that we are super excited to get on the calendar and would love your input if you have other thoughts or feel there is a need in the community.

Services coming up:

Still time to register for the Understanding your Energy workshop on June 19th!  This group is going to be a great way to learn more about how your emotions and the emotions of others turn into the energy around you, then contribute to the overall "energy in the room," and we’ll also learn how to manage and navigate it, leading to less assumptions, conflicts, and anxiety! More details are on the website, Facebook, and Instagram.

Grief Group - This includes all loss. Death, divorce, grown children, etc. Groups may be separated depending on interest.

Leaning Into the Wind - learning to walk through life's obstacles, identifying your strengths and weaknesses to help you navigate the tougher times.  Managing symptoms of chronic illness, parenting, marriage/relationships, trauma/adverse experiences. Insurance accepted.

Understanding the Energy in Emotions - Specifically designed for adolescents aged 12-15, and teens aged 16-19.  Exploring how emotions and thoughts contribute to our environment, interactions, impulses, and outcomes.  Youth and young adults will learn a lot about themselves in addition to coping skills, and mindfulness strategies to help deter some emotions that become toxic and create increased anxiety.

And much more!  Please feel free to send us your ideas. We are excited to serve the needs of the community.

Be sure to subscribe on the website, www.threeacresllc.org, to receive the most up to date news and happenings at Three Acres!
